Title: Lunch in Paris (Memoir)

Author: Elizabeth Bard

30 second summary: American writer falls in love with a man who lives in Paris. She ends up moving to Paris and begins her journey of settling in.

My thoughts: I really enjoyed this book! I loved how the writer documented her ups and downs as an American in Paris and did so through the lens of foods and recipes she loves! I’ve always wanted to travel to Paris and read this book as a part of my library’s Passport bundle (I told them where I wanted to travel and they curated books set there). I loved the vivid descriptions of the city, the food, and the people. I also love that she didn’t only romanticize her experience, but shared her hardships also.

Pairs well with: A glass of Veuve Clicquot (sip), steamed mussels (taste), An American in Paris (watch) and A Year in Provence (read).
