Rating: 4 out of 5 Stars
Synopsis: Port Landon is an idyllic, small town with a tight knit community. Branch Sterling returns to his hometown after the passing of his beloved grandmother Addie. Branch has been gone for years after an accident that caused him to feel outcast as though the entire town turned against him. Even worse? He left with a broken heart after a split from his high school sweetheart Kait. Now Branch has come back to settle affairs with his grandmother’s estate and quickly runs into Kait, leaving them both flooded with feelings of years past. Were things really as cut and dry with the accident as it seemed all those years before? Do Branch and Kait have a second chance at love?
My Thoughts: I adored this book! The setting of Port Landon is almost a character in its own right. I loved the setting and sense of place of this book, as well as the holiday atmosphere. Kait and Branch are instantly lovable characters and I found myself rooting for them throughout the book. I think this book would make such a charming Hallmark Christmas movie and would love to see it adapted into one! This book is a lovely holiday romance set against the backdrop of a charming small town in winter and addresses the consequences of long held rumors and misunderstandings.
For fans of: Holiday romance, Hallmark Christmas movies, second chances tropes, and small town stories.
